Sheriff Ronnie Fields announces an arrest following a traffic stop in the Vass area of Moore County.
During the early morning hours of July 6, 2024 patrol deputies with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop along U.S. Highway 1 near Vass, North Carolina. As a result of the stop, deputies located and seized 1.2 lbs of marijuana and items of drug paraphernalia.
Stephvon Antonia Jones, age 30, of Apex, N.C. was arrested and charged with felony possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
Jones was committed to the Moore County Detention Center under a $10,000.00 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Moore County District Court on July 26, 2024.
All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
