5 Injured Child Airlifted After Pinebluff Collision

Two adults and three children were injured in a two vehicle accident at the intersection of US Highway 1 and Addor Road at 2:45 pm Monday injuring 5 people.


A landing zone was established by units from Aberdeen Fire & Rescue on Thunder Road a short distance from the accident where Tarheel 2 from UNC landed to transport a child who was approximately 18 months old to a Trauma Center.


One child and three adults were transported to FirstHealth in Pinehurst by ambulance.


Reportedly two adults and one child were in one vehicle and one adult and one child were in the second vehicle.



The accident involved a Ford Fusion and a Dodge Grand Caravan.


According to the NC State Highway Patrol the Ford Fusion was crossing US Highway 1 onto Addor Road and the Dodge Caravan was traveling north on US Highway 1 when the collision occurred.


Responding were units with Pinebluff Fire & Rescue, Aberdeen Fire & Rescue, 3 units with Moore County EMS, Moore County Sheriff's Office, Pinebluff Police Department, and the NC Statement Highway Patrol.
