5 Year Old & Adult Airlifted Following Roseland Road Accident


Emergency responders were dispatched to a vehicle accident on the 2500 block of Roseland Road around 9:30 am Wednesday.


A passenger car ran off of the road striking a large tree in a single vehicle accident. The adult driver and a five year old child were both injured in the accident.


The child was airlifted by a UNC Air Care helicopter from a landing zone that had been established on Sandpit Road to be transported to a Trauma Center.



A second helicopter was called for the adult female driver of the vehicle. She was transported by ambulance to the LZ on Sandpit Road as well.


Roseland Road was blocked to traffic in both directions for an extended time period because of this wreck.


Responding were units with Pinebluff Fire & Rescue, Aberdeen Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, and the NC State Highway Patrol.
