Aberdeen Police Announce Arrest For Felony Conspiracy To Commit Robbery With A Dangerous Weapon

The Aberdeen Police Department announced the arrest of 25 year old Jose Carmello Pinson of West End.


On May 20, 2022 Patrol Officers with the Aberdeen Police Department responded to the area of West Saunders Avenue and Pinehurst Street in reference to a robbery and assault.


The victim stated that he was walking to a local business when a vehicle occupied by two males and a female approached him, The victim stated that the two males exited the vehicle and one pointed a handgun at him and threatened him before robbing him of the personal property that was in his possession.


Throughout the course of the investigation, officers were able to obtain recorded video of the robbery. They obtained warrants for the arrest of Jose Pinson along with Rene Pinson on May 22, 2022. Rene Pinson was subsequently arrested for Robbery With A Dangerous Weapon and Assault By Pointing A Gun on May 22, 2022, however, Jose Pinson evaded arrest until he was located in Hoke County on April 7, 2024.


Pinson was served with the outstanding warrant and was taken before a magistrate and was remanded to the Moore County Detention Center under a $125,000.00 secured bond for the charges in Aberdeen and an additional $125,000.00 secured bond for outstanding warrants from the Southern Pines Police Department.


All persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
