Aberdeen Police Announce Arrest For Felony Larceny Following Theft Of $1200 In Merchandise

The Aberdeen Police Department announces the arrest of Jazmine Toniya Minter, 23 years of age, of Southern Pines, North Carolina.


On March 22, 2024, Officers with the Aberdeen Police Department responded to a business in the area of Hwy 15-501 and Turner St, which was reporting a larceny in progress.


When Aberdeen Officers arrived, they obtained numerous witness statements and reviewed video footage to determine that Minter had stolen over $1,200.00 in merchandise from the business. During the course of the investigation Minter remained uncooperative, however, officers were able to locate and return the property to the business.


Minter was charged with Felony Larceny, Felony Possession of Stolen Property, and Resisting a Public Officer. She was taken before a Moore County Magistrate and was remanded to the Moore County Detention Center under a $12,000.00 Secured Bond.


All persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
