On January 25, 2024, Aberdeen Police Officers, along with Aberdeen Investigators, responded to the Berkley Community in reference to a breaking and entering and damage to a residence.
The victim reported the door to an unoccupied home he just renovated had been kicked in, and damage was done inside. Investigators processed the scene for evidence and canvassed the neighborhood for additional information.
Investigators eventually obtained a lead and conducted additional search warrants to obtain evidence. Aberdeen Investigators were able to confirm the involvement of one juvenile; a 16 year old male, of Aberdeen, NC.
On February 29, 2024, Aberdeen Investigators obtained a juvenile petition on the juvenile, through Moore County Juvenile Justice for Felony Breaking and Entering into a Residence. On March 26, 2024, the juvenile petition was fulfilled and will be processed through Moore County Juvenile Court.
