ACCIDENT ON US HIGHWAY 1 SOUTH IN ABERDEEN MONDAY AFTERNOON

Emergency units were dispatched just after 2:00 pm to a vehicle accident located on US Highway 1 at the intersection of Roseland Road in Aberdeen.


The initial arriving emergency unit reported a two-vehicle accident with heavy damage to the two passenger cars.


Firefighters had to use hydraulic rescue tools to remove the driver's door of one car to access the female driver.


Three people were transported to the hospital all with injuries that were reported to be not life-threatening.



According to law enforcement at the scene the silver color Malibu was traveling south on US Highway 1 when the white color Impala pulled from Roseland Road causing the collision.


One of the southbound lanes of US Highway 1 and the center turn lane were both temporarily blocked by this accident.


Responding were units with Aberdeen Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, Moore County Sheriff's Office, NC State Highway Patrol, and the Aberdeen Police Department.
