Anna Mae Rose, affectionately known as Mae Mae, passed away on July 14, 2024, at the age of 72 in Pinehurst, NC. Born on December 22, 1951, in Pineville, WV, she was the daughter of the late Lillian Tiller and was preceded in death by her grandparents Estil and Effie Kegley; uncle Ted Kegley; aunt Susan Carter; and sisters Suzette and Reva Tiller.


Anna Mae spent her formative years in Baileysville, attending Baileysville High School, where she began to cultivate her lifelong interests. She had a rewarding career, having worked at Pinehurst Resort, Loch Haven Golf Course, Richmond Pines and the U.S. Postal Service, contributing significantly to each establishment with her dedication and work ethic.


A devoted member of Taylor Memorial Baptist church, Anna's faith was a vital part of her life, providing her with strength and comfort. Her hobbies included taking photos of her family and friends, cake decorating, playing golf, and cherishing moments with her beloved granddaughter Shaylee and her friend and neighbor Logan.


Anna Mae was a loving and caring figure, remembered fondly by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband, Burl Rose; sons Michael and Adam Rose; granddaughter Shaylee Rose; brothers, Darrel Tiller, Howard Tiller, Mack Tiller and sister Barbara Lopez. Her warmth and kindness will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all who were fortunate to have known her.


There will be a visitation beginning at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Taylor Memorial Baptist Church in Jackson Springs. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM.


Anna Mae's life will be celebrated and remembered for the joy and love she brought into the lives of those around her. There will also be a celebration of Anna Mae's life on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Stafford Family Funeral Home in Lynco, WV.
