Car Suffers Heavy Damage In Accident With No One Found Around The Passenger Car

Emergency responders were dispatched to a vehicle accident around 10:00 pm on McCaskill Road near the intersection with Magnolia Road in Pinehurst.

The first arriving fire units reported one vehicle partially in the roadway with heavy damage and no one around the vehicle. Responders searched the immediate area in case the driver may have been nearby.

As of the last report before we left the scene tonight officials were still working to determine who may have been driving this badly damaged Toyota Corolla passenger car.

Tree hit by car

The pine-tree that was struck was a large diameter tree that barely got a scratch compared to the damage to the car.

McCaskill Road was temporarily blocked by the accident vehicle and responding emergency equipment until the car was removed from the roadway.

Responding tonight were units with Pinehurst Fire Department, Moore County EMS, and the Pinehurst Police Department.
