Dannie Lee Ridenour, 80 of Carthage, passed away on August 2, 2024 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.
Born on June 24, 1944 in Norman, Oklahoma to the late William and Bertha Ridenour.
Dannie was raised in Oklahoma before moving to New Jersey in the late 70’s. He worked for many years for the Federal Government in New Jersey and after retirement he moved to North Carolina which he loved.
Dannie proudly served in the US Army. He loved playing pool, bowling, restoring and attending car shows, Nascar, golf and especially watching OU Football.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant daughter, Jackie Lynn Ridenour.
He is survived by two daughters, Hollie Hall (Larry) and Cindy Ridenour; grandchildren, Jacklyn Monreal, Dalton Hall, Jarod Ridenour, Julian Turbeville, Dustin Hall and Shyla Hall; loving companion, Clara Flinchum; also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, loyal friends and his NC family.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 10:00AM-12:00PM at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Dannie’s name may be made to FirstHealth Hospice Foundation 150 Applecross Road Pinehurst, NC 28374.
Services are entrusted to Boles Funeral Home of Southern Pines.
