According to Cypress Pointe Fire Chief Mike Cameron authorities responded to a single vehicle accident on Youngs Road around 8:00 am Tuesday morning that resulted in a fatality.
The driver was reportedly not restrained and was thrown from the vehicle. The 19 year old driver was determined to be deceased at the scene.
Officials with the NC State Highway Patrol have identified the victim as Ryan Christopher Tracy from a Valley View Road address in Southern Pines.
Responding were units with Cypress Pointe Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, and the NC State Highway Patrol.
