John Edward “Eddie” Parris, 71, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024.
He was born August 22, 1952 in Asheboro, North Carolina to John Columbus Parris, Jr. and Frances Parris.
Eddie was a man full of love: Love for his family, love for his Lord, and love for his golf.
He spent most of his career as a public servant in County Government, and served his country in the National Guard.
When not playing golf, Eddie could most often be found sitting back in his recliner, being what he called, “down for the count”.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Parris, his son, John Patrick “JP” Parris, and his two sisters, Linda Waugh (husband Dickie), and Barbara Walker. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
His family and friends will miss him deeply, and will love him forever.
Funeral service will be 11 AM, Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Doubs Chapel United Methodist Church, with Reverend Donald Burns officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the committal in the church fellowship hall.
