Julie Ann Ghiz, 52, of Southern Pines, NC passed away peacefully on Monday, July 22, 2024 at SECU Jim and Betsy Bryan Hospice Home in Pittsboro, NC.
Julie was born March 19, 1972 in St. Louis, MO to her parents James Worthen and Karen Langley Phillips.
A mass will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2024 at 9:30 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 160 E. Vermont Avenue, Southern Pines, NC 28387 with Rev. John Kane officiating.
Julie was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and niece. She grew up in Jupiter, FL and graduated from Jupiter High School in 1990. Prior to her marriage she was employed at Mirasol Country Club, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida as a massage therapist.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of twelve years, Christopher Ghiz; her daughter, Savannah; her mother, Karen Phillips; her father, James Worthen; her brother, Matthew Phillips (sister-in-law Shannon Phillips); her nephew, Devin Phillips; her aunt and uncle, Gordon and Margaret Radcliffe.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard and Anne Langley.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in memory of Julie Ann Ghiz to the American Cancer Society.
