Karl Shepard Mitschke, 70, of Southern Pines, NC passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024 at his residence.
Karl was born January 6, 1954 in Gaffney, SC to the late Robert Frederick Mitschke and the late Genelle Shepard Mitschke.
He is survived by his wife Lee Hertzberg; and brother Fred Mitschke (Ann) of Lincolnton, NC.
Karl lived most of his life in the Biscoe, NC area. He married Lee on October 29, 2008. He worked as a self-employed HVAC technician for many years. His passing will leave a void in the life of his friends and family. However, they are grateful he no longer has the pain his illness caused.
