Man Wanted For New York Homicide Arrested In Hoke County Thursday

Hoke County - The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office announces on July 11, 2024 members of the US Marshalls Fugitive Task Force and Hoke County Special Operations arrested Stepfane Gilliam on the 400 block of Ben Austin Road Raeford, North Carolina.

Stepfane Gilliam had outstanding arrest warrants for homicide out of New York. During the investigation, it was discovered Mr. Gilliam was staying in Raeford.


Once this information was verified US Marshalls and Hoke County Special Operations went to the residence and took Mr. Gilliam into custody without incident.

Stepfane Gilliam was taken into custody by US Marshalls and representatives from the state of New York. The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the US Marshalls Fugitive Task Force for their hard work and all the assistance they provide the Hoke County Sheriff’s Office.
