Emergency responders were dispatched to a report of a man possibly run over by a tractor at Pinehurst 9 around 4:45 pm Friday in Southern Pines.
According to fire officials the adult male suffered serious injuries after being run over by a tractor moving dirt.
The victim was transported from the scene to the ballpark on Morganton Road to meet a helicopter from UNC Air Care for transport to a Trauma Center.
Responding today were units with Southern Pines Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, Southern Pines Police Department, and UNC Air Care.
