One Entrapped In Car After Single Vehicle Accident On Midland Road Friday Night

Emergency responders were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident tonight on Midland Road at Glen Meadow Court just after 09:30 p.m.

The first arriving fire unit reported a single vehicle accident with heavy damage to the front end of the Audi passenger car.

The adult female driver was pinned in the vehicle and firefighters had to use extrication tools to open the door to be able to gain access to her.

Officials requested a helicopter for this call. However, due to the weather, no helicopter was available. The victim was transported to FirstHealth in Pinehurst by ambulance.

Eastbound Midland Road was closed to traffic for an extended time tonight to allow for the victim to be assisted, the accident scene to be investigated, and the debris cleared from the roadway.

Responding tonight were units with Pinehurst Fire Department, Southern Pines Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS and Pinehurst Police Department.
