Emergency responders were dispatched to a vehicle accident on US Highway 15-501 near Doubs Chapel Road Monday just after 7:00 pm.
A passenger car went off of the side of the roadway going down an embankment and overturning before coming to a stop at the bottom of the hill.
One adult female was injured and was transported to the hospital in Pinehurst by ambulance.
One lane of US Highway 15-501 was temporarily blocked to traffic by emergency vehicles.
Responding to this accident were units with Eastwood Fire Department, Moore County EMS and the NC State Highway Patrol.
