Emergency responders were dispatched to a single vehicle accident on Lea Road off of US 15-501 in the Eastwood area just after 04:30 p.m. today.
The convertible Camaro rolled over, coming to a stop on its roof with the driver reportedly ejected from the vehicle. Aircare was initially called for this accident however, they were canceled and the adult male victim was transported to FirstHealth Hospital by ambulance.
Lea Road remained closed for an extended time period this afternoon while the accident was investigated and the vehicle removed from the roadway.
Responding today were units with Eastwood Fire Department, Pinehurst Fire Department, Moore County EMS, Moore County Sheriff's Department and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
