Paving began Tuesday morning to add new parking to downtown Aberdeen.
The paving is occurring in the new lot at the corner of Poplar Street and Knight Street across from the Aberdeen Municipal Building.
According to contractors that we spoke with they stated that they will finish the first layer Tuesday, before letting the asphalt cool overnight and placing the second layer Wednesday.
Once it is completed and opened this new lot will bring much-needed additional parking to the busy downtown area.
