Regional News - Just as we have worked hard to develop positive relationships with the many local agencies here at home, we are also working to develop these same positive relationships with officials in counties that adjoin Moore County.
Our communities are so fluid that there are people that live here but go work in another county and of course there are also people from surrounding counties that drive here each day for work.
Without a doubt people from all of the counties cross lines to shop, eat out, or visit family.
The point being our small communities are intertwined in many, many ways.
It Is not our intention to report regular news from outside of Moore County. What we will be sharing are select major stories out of Hoke, Scotland, Richmond, Montgomery, Lee, and Harnett Counties.
For example recently there was a Silver Alert issued for a missing woman in Montgomery County. Because of the readers that we have in northern Moore County and the readers in Montgomery County we had the information up within minutes of receiving it from the Sheriff's Office that night. The woman was found safe, and we were able to update readers immediately to this news as well.
Moore Breaking Newz is not going to be taken over by out of town news, but there are times that people here need to know about some of the important things going on around us.
To help clarify which county a news article originates from we will begin listing the county at the beginning of each article, including those from here at home to help readers instantly know which county the article is from.
Don't be surprised by the occasional article from our neighbors nearby as we work harder to keep you better informed and in the know if what is going on here at home as well as the areas around us.
