On July 19, 2024, at approximately 9:30 AM, Moore County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to reports of gunfire in the Seven Lakes business area near the Shell gas station.
Initial reports indicated that an individual was seen shooting into the ground before leaving the area in a vehicle.
Within minutes, deputies located and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle matching the description provided by witnesses. One individual has been detained, and no injuries have been reported.
There is no indication of any ongoing threat to the community.
The Moore County Sheriff’s Office has charged 67 years old Anthony Lee Furr from an Archie Road address in connection with the shots fires in Seven Lakes incident this morning.
Furry has been charged with Going Armed To The Terror Of The Public and Carry A Concealed Weapon.
He is being held under a $100,000 bond.
