Sarah Elizabeth Poole Davis, 92, of West End, passed peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 26, 2024.
Born in West End, she was the daughter of the late Julian Hawley and Lena Booker Poole. In addition to her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Paul Hedley Davis, Jr., and grandson Jesse Davis. She was the loving mother of Bruce Davis, wife Katina, and Mike Davis. She was the grandmother of Bruce Nicholas Davis and Jacob Paul Davis and step - grandmother of Larry Snead. She is also survived by her brother Samuel H. Poole, wife Imogen.
Sarah was a graduate of West End High School. After graduation she went on to attend St. Mary’s College in Raleigh before earning her degree in Interior Design from William & Mary College. Sarah had been the owner and operator of “Peach Inn & Things”, a flag and antique shop on Rt. 73 in West End. She had also been a lifelong member of West End Presbyterian Church.
A visitation will be held at the Boles Funeral Home, 221 MacDougal Dr. West End, Saturday May 4th from 12:30 - 1:30 pm with a celebration of her life to start at 2:00 pm at the West End Presbyterian Church, 275 Knox Ln. West End. The family will receive friends following the ceremony at the church.
Services are entrusted to Boles Funeral Home of Seven Lakes.
