The new Sheetz store at the corner of North Poplar Street and US Highway 1 will have its official Grand Opening Monday, September 30th at 9:00 a.m.
The staff here are busy filling the shelves as suppliers make drop offs, while contractors are busy putting the finishing touches on all of the work left to be done outside.
The first Sheetz opened in Altoona, Pennsylvania in 1952 by Bob Sheetz. The 100th store open 1983, with continued consistent growth from there.
We have seen lots of excitement building around this new store here. The chain is widely known not just for the good gas prices they have, but also the good food offered at its locations.
A big turnout is expected for this event, as well as the first week after they open. We urge drivers to pay extra attention when passing this intersection next week.
