Sheriff Announces B&E Arrest Following Investigation In Cameron

Sheriff Ronnie Fields announces an arrest following an investigation in the Cameron area of Moore County.


On Sunday, March 17, 2024, the Moore County Sheriff’s Office received a report for breaking and entering, and larceny from a motor vehicle in Cameron N.C.


On Wednesday, April 10, 2024, Sheriff’s investigators arrested Demarcus Jerad Campbell, age 28, of Ellerbe, North Carolina. Campbell was charged with one count of felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle, one count of misdemeanor theft from a motor vehicle, three counts of felony identity theft, two counts of felony financial card theft, one count of felony financial card fraud, and two counts of misdemeanor financial card fraud. 


Campbell was committed to the Moore County Detention Center under a $100,000.00 secure bond pending a first court appearance in Moore County District Court on Friday, April 12, 2024.


Any person charged with a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law,
