Emergency responders were dispatched to a vehicle accident on Jackson's Springs Road near Ivan Road not far from the Moore/Montgomery County line around 2:00 pm Monday.
The truck which was loaded with bags of bark appeared to have overturned coming around a sharp curve in this single vehicle accident.
Fire and Rescue technicians worked for close to one hour to free the injured driver. The victim was transported from the scene by ambulance to a waiting helicopter to be airlifted to a Trauma Center.
Jackson Spings Road was closed to traffic in both directions an extended time period due to this accident.
Responding from Moore County included West End Fire & Rescue, Seven Lakes Fire & Rescue, and Moore County EMS. The Candor Fire Department and Montgomery County Rescue Squad responded from Montgomery County. Candor Police Department responded to assist. The NC State Highway Patrol is investigating the accident
