Tree Falls On Truck Driving Outside Foxfire Monday

Emergency responders were dispatched to a report of a tree that had fallen on a truck driving outside of Foxfire just before 3:00 pm Monday.


According to the driver of the plumbing truck that was pulling a trailer loaded with a track hoe, as they were driving on Jackson Springs Road a tree fell across the roadway with part of the tree striking the front of the truck.


The driver of the truck was able to bring the truck to a stop without running off of the road.



No one was injured in today's accident which caused damage to the windshield and cab of the truck.


Jackson Springs Road was blocked to traffic in both directions near Richardson Lane for approximately 20 minutes while the tree was cleared from the roadway.


Responding were units with West End Fire & Rescue and the NC State Highway Patrol.
