Emergency responders were dispatched to reports that a vehicle had struck a building just before 5:00 pm Tuesday.
A person attempting to park at Wells Fargo Bank located at 10796 US Highway 15-501 reportedly accidentally hit the gas instead of the break driving into the front of the building.
Although no one was injured, there was extensive damage to the front wall of the bank.
Responding today were units with Southern Pines Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, and the Southern Pines Police Department.
This was the seventh vehicle accident to occur in Moore County in the last two hours, including an accident outside Robbins where a victim was airlifted to a Trauma Center the same time as this accident in Southern Pines.
