Emergency responders were dispatched to a serious vehicle accident on NC 690 and the intersection of Fairley Lane just before midnight.
The first arriving fire unit reported one vehicle down an embankment.
After arriving at the scene, authorities quickly requested two helicopters to respond to transport two people to a Trauma Center from this accident.
A Landing Zone was established at the ballpark in Vass for both aircraft to land. Units from Cypress Pointe and Southern Pines responded to the ballfield to establish the two landing zones.
The two male victims were transported from the scene by ambulance to meet the helicopters at the ballfield to transport the victims.
Responding tonight were units with Cypress Pointe Fire & Rescue, Crains Creek Fire/Rescue, Southern Pines Fire & Rescue, and Moore County EMS.
