Emergency responders were dispatched to a single vehicle accident on NC Highway 73 near Beulah Hill Church Road just after 9:00 am Sunday morning.
Firefighters arrived to find a passenger car down an embankment off of the roadway. The vehicle narrowly missed colliding with several large trees.
According to fire officials the adult male driver was able to get out of the vehicle before their arrival. The victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance with injuries that were not life-threatening.
One lane of NC Highway 73 was closed while the victim was assisted and the vehicle removed causing slowdowns for drivers in the area.
Responding were units with Eastwood Fire Department, Moore County EMS, Moore County Sheriff's Office, and the NC State Highway Patrol.
