Emergency responders were dispatched to a vehicle accident on US Highway 1 at the intersection with US Highway 15-501 in Aberdeen just after 3:00 pm Sunday.
The first arriving fire unit reported a vehicle on its side and a second vehicle with heavy damage to the front end.
One person was transported to the hospital by ambulance with injuries that were reported as not life-threatening.
One lane of US Highway 1 in the northbound direction was temporarily blocked to traffic due to the accident.
Responding were units with Aberdeen Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS and the Aberdeen Police Department.
